Who We Are
At Large is a is a small independently run Gallery and Studio Space in the creative hub of High Street Northcote. Established by two young artists residing in Melbourne, Australia in 2009. Being mostly self taught and working in different mediums across the board, they began using their knowledge and imagination to build their dream art space with a tiny budget, the help of many friends, and an extremely ghetto DIY approach.

What We're About
The principal behind establishing the gallery is that you shouldn't have to be loaded to own artwork, or to exhibit it.
They wanted to make good art accessible to everyone as it is on the street; and provide an affordable alternative for artists to show and sell artwork to the public.
The idea is to bridge the gap between the street and the gallery; so the artists can fund their passion, while the audience gets a refined piece of urban culture to take home and keep for an affordable/ realistic price.

That said, the space is not restricted to just art. From February 2010, we will also be stocking independently hand-made jewellery from Melbourne designers, aswell as a fine selection of Molotow Premium Cans, Caps and Markers for the North-side Artist. We also encourage artists of other disciplines to apply for exhibitions because we are open to a wide range of mediums, not just aerosol or street art.
